Matcha, the tea of the Japanese "Tea Ceremony" is whisked with hot water and drunk as a frothy, deep green beverage. Because of its powdered form, matcha also has many culinary uses such as green tea ice cream, cheesecake, cookies, health drinks, tea lattes and frappuccinos.

PREPARATION
:
To prepare Japanese Matcha, place approximately 1 teaspoon of powdered tea per cup (8 oz) and cover with hot (but less than boiling) water and whisk vigorously. To get a better mix, you can add just a bit of water to make a paste of the tea powder to start and then add the rest and stir well.
